My interest in online marketing first surfaced in 2008 when I was working in real estate. As an agent, I was constantly looking for ways to improve my online presence and ad visibility. I spent countless hours reading tips on how to improve organic traffic for my personal real estate sites.
This hobby became a passion that would lead to a major change in my life. In 2011, I closed shop as a real estate agent and got an entry-level job as a linkbuilder for a small marketing company. This turned out to be one of the best career decisions I have ever made. I spent countless hours reading and soaking up everything I could on inbound marketing. Getting hands-on experience taught me more than I could have imagined. Within 3 months, I was working as the sole SEO associate at the company.
Now, I work as the lead SEO for a startup in Austin, Texas. Most days, you can find me analyzing search trends and behaviors online or daydreaming about Sitemaps, URL structures, and all things SEO. Occasionally, I’ll blog about my experiences or new tips that I come across. I love discussing online marketing, so feel free to contact me about anything you find here.
